AI coding session managers for site reliability engineers, compared

Compare Claude Squad, Conductor, opcode, OpenCode and AgentHydra for watching agent sessions, costs and quota, with questions to ask first.

By SupaKeeper ยท

SupaKeeper is published by LunarWerx, which makes some of the tools compared here.

Start with the job you need done. AgentHydra shows Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode sessions in one searchable list, updated live while they run. [1] Claude Squad is a terminal app that manages multiple AI agents in separate workspaces. [2] Each option below states what its own source says it does, and the questions at the end help you match a tool to your work.

OptionWhat it doesPrice as stated
AgentHydraShows Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode sessions in one searchable list. [1] Shows cost at API list prices by day, model, project and account. [1]Free, with no account or subscription. [1]
Claude SquadManages multiple AI agents in separate workspaces. [2] Each task gets its own isolated git workspace, so no conflicts. [2]not published
ConductorLets teams run a team of coding agents in the cloud. [3] Lets users bring their own subscriptions and keys. [3]not published
opcode (formerly Claudia)Runs agents in separate processes for process isolation. [4] All data stays on your machine. [4]not published

What site reliability engineers need from AI coding session managers

Site reliability engineers keep services running and respond when something breaks. When AI coding agents write or change code, they need to know which sessions are active, what those sessions are doing, and whether any of them touch systems people rely on.

Many engineers run agents on more than one machine or account, so they need one view of the work rather than a window for each session. Usage limits matter too, because a session that runs out of quota can stop partway through a task.

A session manager can help with watching, organizing and reviewing agent work. It does not replace code review, change approval or incident tools. Each option's page should be read for what it covers before it is relied on for production-related work. The sections below say what each option's own source states and nothing more.

AgentHydra for site reliability engineers

AgentHydra is made by the team that publishes this site. It shows Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode sessions on your machine in one searchable list, updated live while they run. [1] You can type a reply into a Claude session's own desktop chat, or send one message to several sessions. [1] It shows cost at API list prices by day, model, project and account. [1] It lists each Claude and Codex account with its plan and 5-hour and weekly quota, and can open, focus, quit, create and delete separate copies of Claude Desktop. [1] It can move a Claude chat, history included, to another of your accounts. [1] Its features are exposed as MCP tools, a standard way for agents to call outside tools, including checks that tell an agent which account it is on and how much quota is left. [1] It is free, with no account or subscription. [1] It is open source under the MIT License. [1] The app needs Windows, and macOS and Linux builds exist but have not been verified. [1] On Windows you can install it with a one-line PowerShell script, download a build from GitHub Releases, or run it from source with Bun, a JavaScript runtime. [1]

Claude Squad for site reliability engineers

Claude Squad is a terminal app that manages multiple AI agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini and Aider, in separate workspaces. [2] The program it runs by default is claude. [2] Check its page for what it shows about activity and cost before you rely on it for those.

Conductor for site reliability engineers

Conductor lets teams run a team of coding agents in the cloud. [3] It lets users bring their own subscriptions and keys. [3] Check its page for where the agents run and how your code is handled before you rely on it.

opcode (formerly Claudia) for site reliability engineers

opcode (formerly Claudia) is a graphical app and toolkit for Claude Code. [4] Its requirements are Windows 10/11, macOS 11+, or Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+). [4] It needs at least 1GB of free storage. [4]

OpenCode for site reliability engineers

OpenCode is an open source agent that helps you write code in your terminal, IDE, or desktop. [6] It is available as a terminal-based interface, desktop app, or IDE extension. [5] It supports multiple sessions, with agents running in parallel on the same project. [6]

Matching the tool to the job

Start with the job you need done.

To see every session in one place, AgentHydra shows Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode sessions in one searchable list. [1] Claude Squad manages multiple AI agents in separate workspaces. [2] OpenCode supports multiple sessions, with agents running in parallel on the same project. [6]

To keep track of cost, ccusage analyzes coding agent CLI token usage and costs from local data. [7] AgentHydra shows cost at API list prices by day, model, project and account. [1]

To watch quota across accounts, AgentHydra lists each Claude and Codex account with its plan and 5-hour and weekly quota. [1]

To run checks on a schedule, Cline CLI can run scripts, cron jobs, and CI pipelines. [8] Goose can spawn independent subagents to handle tasks in parallel. [9]

To check the setup of a running session, Codex CLI has a /status command that shows the current session configuration. [10]

Questions to ask before you choose

Which job matters most to you: one view of sessions, cost tracking, quota across accounts, or scheduled checks?

Do the sessions you need to watch run on one machine, or across several machines and accounts? Each option's page says which setups it covers.

Which operating systems do your machines run, and does each option list support for them?

Do you need the work to run in the cloud, or on your own machine? Conductor runs agents in the cloud. [3]

How will the cost figures compare with your provider's bill? AgentHydra shows cost at API list prices. [1]

Does your team need to share the work, and who maintains each tool? Continue was acquired by Cursor. [11] Check ownership and support terms before your team depends on any tool.
